Mission
The mission of Leuven-MRC is to enhance the innovative character of the top materials research present at the K.U.Leuven by
- coordinating materials research at and with K.U.Leuven:more interaction, increased efficiency in use of (sophisticated) equipment, interdisciplinary projects,…
- optimizing the interaction with industry through its portal function
- developing and disseminating a common vision on future materials research
- increasing the visibility of materials research
Composition
Leuven-MRC is composed of 19 research groups spread over 3 faculties and 9 different departments (Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry, Geology, and Microbial and Molecular Systems). 61 professors and nearly 450 researchers are involved in the Leuven-MRC initiative.
